Batvirgen ("we", "us", or "our") built the CalculEat app as an ad-supported application. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use "as is."

1. Data We Do Not Directly Collect

CalculEat does not directly collect, store, or transmit your personal health, diet, or food consumption data to any external servers.

All data you enter into the app (including custom foods, calories, and daily goals) is stored locally on your device using local storage techniques. We do not have access to this data.

Uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s data will permanently delete your entries from your device.

2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Although we do not directly collect personal data, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device identifiers

• Approximate location
• App interaction data

3. User Consent and GDPR Compliance (European Users)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA):

• If consent is not required for your region (e.g., Turkey, USA, Japan), personalized ads may be shown by default.
• You can revoke your consent at any time from the Settings menu. Doing so will reset Google’s consent state and display non-personalized ads until new consent is given.

The legal basis for processing advertising data for EEA users is user consent.

4. Children’s Privacy

This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Google AdMob has its own policies regarding child-directed treatment of data.

We do not retain your personal data on our servers.

Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google’s own data retention policies.

6. Security

Since all personal dietary data is stored locally and we do not transmit it, the security of your information depends on the physical and software security of your device.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
